Jonah Holden-Maillard
Hello there! I’m Jonah, the Director of Exe Studio, a Lecturer and Artist. My focus areas are educational development, digital art, and interactive experiences.
As a lecturer, I have taught Esports at Exeter College and Game Art at SGS College. Before that, I worked on Virtual Battle Space (VBS) for the UK, US, and Swiss military as part of Bohemia Interactive Simulations. Now I travel all over the country on my motorbike – a 2022 Suzuki DL650 V-Strom, visiting and speaking at colleges and universities about how to start your own business and succeed as a student.
In 2016, I obtained a first-class BA(Hons) Game Art degree from De Montfort University. In my second year, I was awarded The Vice Chancellor's Distinguished Student Award. At university, I volunteered at a local homelessness charity, which is where I grew my passion for enabling others to reach their full potential.
Recently, I have been travelling and editing vlogs about my trips, which you can check out on my YouTube channel. I am learning Welsh and speak fluent French. When I’m not drawing on the computer or sketching on the iPad, I love going on long cycle rides around Devon and spending time with my family, most of whom are Exmouth based.
